Forum: step A and B

For this learning engagement, you will be assigned groups by your facilitator. Each group will nominate a leader who will keep track of achievement levels awarded by each member (a Google Sheet is recommended).?

You will be reading and marking two assigned explorations against the criteria. Each exploration will be given two marks in criterion E, one at SL and one at HL.?Start with step A and proceed to step B.

Step A

  1. Read the two explorations, which will be provided by your facilitator.

  2. For each of the explorations award achievement levels on each criterion A to E. For criterion E award two marks, one at SL and one at HL.

  3. Record your marks and write comments to justify the achievement levels awarded in your learning journal. For example, cite the pages from which you drew your decisive evidence in favour of the attainment level awarded on each criterion.

  4. Send your marks to the group leader to record on the spreadsheet.

  5. When all the marks have been entered the group leader will share the spreadsheet with the group.?

  6. Discuss your individual marks among the group and come to a consensus on a final achievement level for each criterion.


Step B

  1. On the spreadsheet provided by your facilitator, each group leader should enter the marks agreed upon by the respective groups.

  2. How did your marks compare to the definitive marks awarded by the moderator??

  3. On this discussion forum for learning engagement 1 discuss any significant discrepancies in attainment levels.??
