當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間8日晚，哈里王子和梅根王妃在Instagram上發(fā)帖宣布，他們將放棄英國(guó)“高級(jí)”王室成員身份，并打算“努力實(shí)現(xiàn)財(cái)務(wù)獨(dú)立”。
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced?they will step back as "senior" royals and work to become financially independent.
在聲明中，哈里和梅根表示，經(jīng)過數(shù)月的反思和討論，他們決定不再擔(dān)任英國(guó)王室高級(jí)成員的角色。兩人還表示，未來(lái)將在英國(guó)和北美兩地之間分配自己的時(shí)間。
“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.?We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”

BBC稱，白金漢宮對(duì)此很“失望”，王室很“受傷”。
The BBC understands no other royal - including the Queen or Prince William - was consulted before the statement and Buckingham Palace is "disappointed".
Senior royals are understood to be "hurt" by the announcement.
消息一出，白金漢宮立刻作出回應(yīng)。
白金漢宮發(fā)表聲明稱，有關(guān)哈里和梅根引退的討論仍在“早期階段”，“我們理解他們想要另辟蹊徑的愿望，但這是非常復(fù)雜的議題，需要花時(shí)間商討”。
A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said discussions with the duke and duchess on their decision to step back were "at an early stage", adding: "We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through."
