With many beaches closed in an effort to stop the spread of novel coronavirus, sea turtles in Florida are nesting in peace.

Researchers are seeing less plastic, people and vehicles on beaches. “I think there is a strong likelihood that we will see decreased human-caused impacts on sea turtle nesting this year, which is a rare silver lining to this global pandemic,” said a researcher.

People should also maintain distance from marine life and leave the beach in the way they found it.
