3月20日，星期三 【本書六月一日位居亞馬遜兒童文學(xué)圖書第二名】

今天，爸爸在鎮(zhèn)上的五金器材與飼料店里看見了一則廣告，廣告里說有人正在尋找地方寄養(yǎng)兩匹馬兒，于是就記下了那上面的電話號(hào)碼好聯(lián)系事主。

結(jié)果呢，是一位女士要來寄養(yǎng)，她有一匹高頭大馬，還有一匹威爾士山地小型馬。小馬是她女兒的，她女兒和我同齡，剛滿10歲，我年底就滿10歲，可以說年齡非常相當(dāng)！

爸爸說她們明天下午過來，想先看一看場地；如果談成了，就把那兩匹馬兒放養(yǎng)在門前的圍場里。這樣，那個(gè)場地到底還是派上了用場。

我好興奮——居然還會(huì)有另一個(gè)和我年齡差不多的伙伴！最近好長一段時(shí)間，我都沒見到其他女孩了；所以，要是有另一個(gè)女孩和我一道騎馬，我當(dāng)然很高興啦。

我很好奇，那女孩是什么樣的人呢？她們的馬兒又是什么樣的呢？爸爸并沒有多問，我也只好等著，等到明天放學(xué)回來再說。我搜索了一些威爾士山地小型馬的圖片，因?yàn)槲疫€不知道那種馬長什么樣呢。圖片里那些馬兒非常可愛。那么，她的馬兒呢？( 文章閱讀網(wǎng)：www.sanwen.net )

Dad was at the hardware and stock feeds store in town today and saw an ad on the noticeboard. Someone is looking for a place to agist their 2 horses and he took their phone number so he could call them.

Anyway, it turns out that it’s a lady who has a horse and also a little Welsh Mountain pony. The pony belongs to her daughter who’s the same age as me. Well, she’s just turned 10 and I’ll be 10 at the end of the year, so it’s close enough!

Dad said that they’re coming over tomorrow afternoon to meet us and have a look. If it works out, he’s planning for them to keep their horses in our front paddock. That way, the paddock will get used after all.

I’m excited because it’s someone else who’s around my age. And I haven’t been seeing any of the girls much lately. So it would be so nice to have someone else to ride with.

I wonder what she’s like and what their horses are like? Dad didn’t really ask, so now I have to wait until I get home from school tomorrow. I searched for some photos of Welsh Mountain ponies because I didn’t know what they look like. They’re very cute. I wonder what hers is like?

I can’t wait to meet them!
