Propargyl-PEG1-SS-PEG1-acid is a point and click chemical crosslinking agent. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with the primary amine group in the presence of an activator (such as EDC or HATU) to form a stable amide bond. The propargyl group reacts with azide containing compounds or biological molecules through copper catalyzed azide click chemistry to produce stable triazole bonds.
