【漢英對照】黑格爾：“存在即合理”
Was vernünftig ist, das ist wirklich; und was wirklich ist, das ist vernünftig.
The above quote is a sentence that comes from Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel's? "Elements of the Philosophy of Right" (German: "Grundlinien der Philosophie des Rechts"). In English, the quote translates to "What is reasonable is real; that which is real is reasonable." The book was published in 1820 and this particular quote of Objective Idealism was one of the most controversial philosophical propositions of its day. This quote is somewhat contentious today, principally because some believe that Hegel was making a normative claim for what is actually real: that what is real must be right. Of course, that is not always the case！
以上這句名言出自黑格爾 [1] 的名著《法哲學(xué)原理》（德語："Grundlinien der Philosophie des Rechts"）。黑格爾這句客觀唯心主義（Objective Idealism）名言可翻譯成 “合理的才是真實的；真實的才是合理的” 或 “存在即合理”?！斗ㄕ軐W(xué)原理》出版于1820年，然后這句話是當時最有爭議的哲學(xué)命題之一。這句話迄今還有爭議，主要是因為有些人認為黑格爾是在為真實的事物提出一個規(guī)范性的主張：真實的事物必須是正確的。當然，這并非總是如此！
