[成龍歷險記|西木|小玉|全英]天行不息 03 Tower in Bhutan

There weren’t commercial flights from San Francisco to Bhutan. Jackie Chan borrowed one from Captain Black to fly to Bhutan overnight. Jackie didn’t want Jade to follow but Jade insisted. It was not strange at all for Jade’s nature of taking adventures. However, she had one more reason this time.
Though faster than commercial flights, the plane of Section 13 still needed eight hours to get to Bhutan for the long distance. Jackie, Uncle and Tohru got seated in the front row and adjusted the seats to sleep. Hsi Wu walked to the seat next to the window in the back row, looking at the night sky. Sleep was not necessary for demons. Jade sat behind Jackie.
Jade still did not fall asleep after a long time. She walked to the back row slightly, heart beating, and sat at the position near Hsi Wu’s but with a seat in between.
“Thank you for saving me today,” Jade said.
Perceiving Jade’s coming, Hsi Wu startled.
“No matter. What a …” Hsi Wu was about to speak out the sentence he had spoken more than once when he suddenly felt it was not proper.
It was Jade who broke the brief silence.
“Hsi Wu, in fact, I hate you. I hate you because you destroy my friend, the person who listens to me, Seymour.”
Hsi Wu’s heart tightened. He did not expect that Jade would mention this topic.
“Hsi Wu, I wonder about your real inner thoughts when you come to us this time.”
Jade stared at Hsi Wu’s eyes directly. Although the light was dark in the cabin, the eyes still let Hsi Wu feel the energy.
“I am sorry, Jade.”
Perhaps, it was a kind of sincerity to begin with an apology.
“I wanna person to listen to me, too.”
Hsi Wu did not lie this time. So many centuries in the netherworld, spending each exactly like the one before it with his so-called siblings, Hsi Wu was indeed extremely lonely.
“Although you had also been to the netherworld, you can’t understand the feeling of staying there for thousands of years. There was no end of time, no end of space, only my seven so-called brothers and sisters.”
“I am the smallest and fastest, so it’s always me to inform everyone every time they have a meeting.”
“Bai Tza always instructs me to do this or that.”
“Po Kong the stupid buddy only knows eating and is clumsy. When she itches, it’s always me to scratch her.”
“Tso Lan views himself as a respected elder, I have a generation gap with him.”
“And Shendu, you may know, what he says has no relationship with what he does. Needless to say a signal word to him.”
“Only the floating stones, I am not tired of them and they are not tired of me.”
“…”
Hearing Hsi Wu ridiculed his siblings one by one, Jade laughed in her heart.
Hsi Wu perceived the change in Jade’s expressions, smiling too.
The last time the two talked and laughed like this was still ten days ago, in that after-school walk.
“Can’t imagine you speak as much as me,” Jade said jokingly.
“I still have a lot of stories to say. But if you are tired of me, I have my mouth shut.” Hsi Wu gradually picked up his skill.
“Tired of you, but I also have a lot to say, an exchange.”
“Jade,” Hsi Wu pretended to be serious. “Trust me, your Seymour has never left, your Seymour will never leave.”
“Hope so.”
Jade pretended to stretch. “I go back to sleep, Seymour.”
Seymour! Jade called him this name again. Hsi Wu felt a bit of warmth in his heart.
Jade walked to her seat slightly, upset. Emotion told her that Seymour was back, which was inspiring, while rationality told her that Hsi Wu was not deserved fully trusting. About another hour passed, and Jade fell asleep.
Hsi Wu looked at the black sky dotted with stars and did not sleep.
It seemed that he had never seen so many stars before. Not to mention the netherworld, when he was the ruler he always made the sky dark or blood-red to show his dignity, which made the sun and stars never appear.
Looking up at the beautiful milk way of stars, looking down at the spotted lights of Chinese cities, Hsi Wu also fell asleep gradually.
?
The plane landed in Bhutan, Hsi Wu hasn’t woken up yet for falling asleep just now.
“I am waking him up,” Jade said.
Jade ran to the back of the cabin, seeing Hsi Wu in the form of the human sleeping, an absolute cute child, meaning no danger to them.
“Like a baby,” Jade said in her heart.
“Jade, what are you doing? Be quick to wake him up.” Jackie said.
“Oh, OK!”
“Seymour, wake up!” Jade swung Hsi Wu’s arm.
Hsi Wu changed his gesture and opened his eyes gradually. Though bleary, the blood-red eyes flickered in front of Jade.
“Ah!” Jade stepped backward.
Seeing Jade, the blood-red in Hsi Wu’s eyes faded immediately.
“Oh, we’ve arrived. I should fall asleep.” Hsi Wu stretched.
“Let’s go!” Jackie said.
The five walked down the ladder, Jade was just scared by Hsi Wu’s eyes, still upset. After the talk last night with him, she generated many beautiful thoughts in her brain. However, the appearance when he woke up this morning delivered a blow to her thoughts, although Hsi Wu did not do any concrete thing.
“Maybe it’s just his physical nature. It’s I who am too sensitive.”
In fact, Jade hadn’t been too sensitive. Hsi Wu’s eyes could change color when he was in the form of a human. When he was awake, he could control it and when he was asleep the blood-red only appeared when he thought of evil.
?
It was still night in Bhutan for the reason of jet lag.
Jackie Chan led the way with a flashlight, Uncle and Tohru followed him tightly and Jade and Hsi Wu were at the back.
Jade did not be initiated to talk to Hsi Wu and it was Hsi Wu who mentioned the topics.
“Jade, you always followed Uncle Jackie in each adventure before?”
“You bet. Victory can’t lack me.”
“Then what’s your favorite in adventures?”
“Magic! Like I swallowed the rooster talisman and could fly and used the horse talisman to repair the statue, used the rat talisman to revive Lo Pei. No one had thought up these.”
“In fact, none of these is my favorite, and hearing demons shouting ‘no’ when they are defeated is.”
A dark cloud was on Hsi Wu’s face.
“I am sorry. I forget to say not including you.”
“Oh, no problem. I can’t be back anyway. At least you send me back after Daolon Wong is defeated.”
Actually, Hsi Wu was not angry. Although he looked down upon humans from the bottom of his heart, he had to admit that he was in a good temper when talking with the little girl.
A building stretching into the sky appeared ahead under the moonlight.
“Look, this is Daolon Wong’s magic tower,” Uncle said.
They climbed the steep stairs to the magic tower. Hsi Wu had been prepared to fly to it directly, but on thinking about being modest to get trust, he also climbed the stairs with others.
They got to the door of the tower. Suddenly, a beam of purple light exploded into the sky. They saw from the window Daolon Wong imposing magic on the book.
“Hahaha! This book’s content is finally exposed to me.” Daolon Wong began to look through the magic book.
“Perhaps have not!” Jackie Chan broke in.
“Gan, Ren, Chui, Zhen!” Daolon Wong called the Dark Chi warriors.
“Too dangerous, you stay here.” Jade was about to rush when Jackie said.
Hsi Wu also fought with Jackie and Tohru against Dark Chi warriors.
Daolon Wong did not even give one glimpse at the battle, just reading the magic book quickly.
Having Hsi Wu, the original disadvantage of Jackie Chan and his party transferred into an advantage. The four Dark Chi Warriors were defeated one by one, among whom Hak Foo was attacked from the back by Uncle’s two-fingered slapping.
Jackie rushed in front of Daolon Wong, being prepared to take the book. But Daolon Wong still read the book carefully, not even looking up.
“Ahh!” The time Jackie touched the book, a feeling of electric shock flowed across his body. He dropped to the ground and could not move.
“Jackie!” Jade hurried here to support Jackie Chan.
“Hahaha, the book has been imposed magic by me. You can’t put even a finger on it.”
At this time, the four Dark Chi warriors recovered. They approached Tohru and Hsi Wu from the side of the door, battling with them fiercely.
“Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao, Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao.” Uncle said the spell.
The Dark Chi warriors turned into gas and fled under the effect of the spell.
Only saying the spell without a flute would not do substantial harm to Hsi Wu, but he also felt a headache, covering the ears, showing a painful expression.
Seeing the Dark Chi Warriors were settled, Uncle turned to Daolon Wong to break his magic.
However, Uncle’s Chi magic was blocked by Daolon Wong.
“The old guy, my magic power has greatly upgraded for the several years I didn’t meet you. Your magic can deal with my warriors, but don’t have effects on me.” Daolon Wong smirked, head downward, looking through the magic book.
“Alas!” Uncle stopped saying the spell. Even if Daolon Wong and the magic book were just one meter from them, everyone had no method.
“Seymour! You take the book!” It occurred to Jade that.
“What? Why would I… Didn’t you see Uncle Jackie was just beat down by the magic on the book?” Hsi Wu had just removed his hands from his ears.
“None of you can contact this book.” Daolon Wong said.
Hsi Wu came near to Daolon Wong and reached out. After all, even if he was shocked, he could recover fast. When the seven demons raced for the portal, he was hit by Tchang Zu, the Thunder Demon, by his electric magic but recovered within several seconds and rushed out of the portal first with Jade.
The time Hsi Wu contacted the book, nothing happened. Everyone was shocked, among whom the most was Daolon Wong.
“You! I can’t imagine… ”
Hsi Wu looked towards Jade, just to see Jade smiling at him. Hsi Wu suddenly understood that like they demons could not touch the Pan’ku Box but humans could, the dark magic Daolon Wong imposed on the book could make it untouchable to humans but could not deal with demons.
“You are a demon!” Daolon Wong said.
“That’s right.” Hsi Wu turned into the form of the bat.
“You again, Sky Demon Hsi Wu!” Daolon Wong felt amazed. He could not understand why a demon was with humans.
However, the astonishment on Daolon Wong’s face faded right away and turned into smirking.
“You are too late, I have finished reading the book.” Daolon Wong waved his magic cane and disappeared, only leaving a wisp of purple-gray smoke.
“Hsi Wu, how could you make it?” Jackie Chan also recovered a little.
“Yin and Yang! The magic of Yin can deal with Yang, but can’t harm Yin itself.” Jade chipped in.
“Hsi Wu, what does the book say?”? Uncle asked.
Hsi Wu turned back into Seymour, opened the book and others looked at it surrounding Hsi Wu from the back.
The book was indeed about opening the castle of the Book of Ages. If one wants to open it, he must find in order the mask of the pharaoh in Egypt, the cuneiform in the Hanging Garden of Babylon, the Shiva idol in India and the Xuanyuan Sword of Huangdi in China. And then he was supposed to say the spell of “Revise History” in front of the castle with four items in hand.
“Then we are supposed to go to Egypt now?” Jackie said.
“Right,” Uncle said.
“Egypt! Great!”
“Jade, the journey is nothing but a dangerous task.” Jackie and Hsi Wu said simultaneously.
“Humph!” Jade pouted as usual. However, what was not the same as before was that there was one more character like Uncle Jackie this time.
“But I will take care of myself, you needn’t be worried,” Jade added.
Hsi Wu perceived that caring for Jade in such a situation could make it faster to get others’ trust, especially Jackie Chan’s acceptance. But to be honest, he indeed wanted to remind the little girl who was not afraid of anything, who was not afraid of everything, of danger.
“What to wait? Egypt, go!”
