Jill:*
Jill: *yawn*
?
Jill:*
Jill: *sigh* (Man, such a slow night...)
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Jill: (At least I'm not serving dogs.)
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Jill: (Normally, this would be where a dog shows up like a cheap punchline.)
?
Jill:(……
Jill: (...I guess not.)
?
Jill: (Speaking of dogs, I wonder where the hell's Gil?)
?
Dana:
Dana: Bored?
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Jill:
Jill: WAAAAAH!!
?
Dana:
Dana: Sorry, did I wake you up?

Jill:
Jill: I-I wasn't sleeping. My eyes were open!
?
Dana: You went to college, right? You know having your eyes open means nothing.
?
Dana: Don't worry, I don't blame you. It's been a really long time since we've had such a slow night.
?
Dana: In fact, I think the last time we had a night this slow was before you started working here.
?
Jill:
Jill: Really?
?
Dana: Yeah, it happened when Robert was still working here.
?
Jill:誰?
Jill: Who?
?
Dana: My first employee. The poor idiot bought a "levitation potion" and threw himself off a building.
?
Jill:哦……
Jill: Oh...
?
Dana:……
Dana: ...as it turned out, the potion actually worked.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...come again?
?
Dana:
Dana: He started rising in the air... and couldn't stop.
?
Dana: They later found his body smeared across the nose of a commercial flight that was on its way to Kanjevania.
?
Dana:
Dana: But anyway...
?
Jill: (Should you really dismiss that so easily?)
?
Dana: We didn't have a single client that night. Not even a lost soul asking for directions. But then, suddenly, a kid shows up.
?
Dana: He was obviously underage, but I was bored, so I decided to let him order something.
?
Dana: I gave him one Karmotrine-free drink. I mean, even if I was letting him order, I wasn't about to give alcohol to an underaged boy.
?
Dana: And then, when the time came for him to pay his tab... he realized he didn't have enough money.
?
Dana: He then yanked his shirt over his head, started screaming he's a ghost, and tried to escape!
?
Dana: So, I kicked him so hard that he flew out of the bar, and told him ghosts shouldn't feel pain!
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Jill:……Boss,
Jill: ...Boss, did you really kick an underage kid?
?
Dana: Of course not! I just gave him a warning and made him wash a couple of dishes.
?
Dana: The fact that you even thought for a moment that I would kick a young, innocent child hurts me to no end, you know?
?
Dana:
Dana: Anyway, just... keep it up. Someone will show up sooner or later.
?
Jill:
Jill: I sure hope so.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...hoooooooold on. Come to think of it. Aren't Gil's checks made out to "Robert"?
?
Dana: ……
Dana: ...noooooooooooooooooo... *cough*
?
Jill:*
Jill: *sigh* Well, at least that story killed a couple of minutes...
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...I think I'll... I don't know... sort the glasses here or something.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Jill: ...(Huh, we had a fedora-shaped glass?)
?

Jill: Are you sure you're old enough to drink?
?
???: Well, seeing how I'm old enough to eat solid food, I'm gonna guess that drinking won't be a problem.
?
Jill:
Jill: You know that's not what I meant.
?

?
Jill:
Jill: Yup.

Jill: (That's a pretty smart nickname, actually.)
???: You know... I could've been lying through my teeth.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
???: I could be an underaged liar. You could've sold alcoholic drinks to an underage kid.
?
???: How would that make you feel?
?
Jill:
Jill: Meh...
?
???: "Meh"?
?
Jill: I don't believe in the myth that kids don't drink alcohol. I've met 16 year olds that drink a lot more than I do.
?
Jill: Limiting the alcohol they can get is necessary, but if you make it look like a forbidden pleasure...
?
Jill:
Jill: Well... you will only make them crave it more.
?
Jill: Hell, I bet if you gave kids alcohol, they'd start swearing off of it earlier.
?
???: So you're fine with giving drinks to underaged kids?
?
Jill: No, but if that were to happen, I wouldn't get my panties in a bunch.
?
???: W-Wouldn't you get punished for doing that?
?
Jill: You'd have to admit publicly that you ordered alcohol first. And that would bring you a different array of problems.
?
???:……哦。
???: ...oh.
?
Jill:
Jill: Did you come here looking to get me in trouble?
?
???: No! I just wanted a reaction out of you but you're taking it all too calmly!
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...why?
?
???: I don't know. Your face makes me wanna tease you.
?
Jill: (I suddenly feel like I'm back in high school.)
?
???: Do you really think I look that young?
?
Jill:
Jill: I do... but not young enough to be considered underaged.
?
???: Then, why won't you give me alcohol?!
?
Jill:
Jill: Because I wanted to mess with you.
?
???: Mess with a client? Do you usually do that?
?
Jill: Only if it looks like they might take it in their stride.
?
Jill: Still, why are you so angry at the idea I might think you look young?
?
???: T-That's...
?
Jill: I mean, the only people who don't like being mistaken for someone younger... are young people.
?
Jill: But to be fair, you still look older than 95% of our regulars.
?
???: T-That would mean you've served drinks to people who look like they're 13 years old or something.
?
Jill:是的。
Jill: Yup.
?
???: E-Eh?
?
Jill:
Jill: Alright, let's get this out of the way. Please show me your ID.

???: Sure.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Jill: Seems everything's in order, Miss Anna... Graem?
?
Jill:(Anna Graem……
Jill: (Anna Graem... where have I heard that name before?)
?
Anna: Go ahead. Just try to make a joke I haven't heard yet.
?
Jill:
Jill: I'll... politely refuse.
?
Anna: No, I'm serious. Go ahead. People think it's "too easy" so they never make jokes about my name.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...I'm still going to politely refuse.
?
Anna:
Anna: You're no fun!
?
Anna: So. What's your name, Miss Bartender?
?
Jill:
Jill: My name?
?
Anna: You saw my name. I have the right to know yours.
?
Jill: Fair enough. I'm Jill.
?
Anna:Jill什么?
Anna: Jill what?
?
Jill:Jill……就好。
Jill: Just... Jill.
?
Anna:
Anna: Yeah, but what's your full name?
?
Jill: Just call me Jill.
?
Anna: Fine, I'll just pretend Jill is a way of saying your name is actually Johanna Ignacia Laurent Loan.
?
Anna: Actually, I'll shorten it to Jo.
?
Jill:
Jill: Whatever floats your boat.
?
Anna: Say, Jo, this place looks awfully desolate.
?
Jill: (Jo, she says...)
?
Jill:
Jill: It's been a slow day. A really, REALLY slow day.
?
Jill: I'm actually glad you showed up. I was growing bored as hell.
?
Jill: I mean, it's not like we're always bustling with activity, but this is unusual even for here.
?
Anna:
Anna: So, I take it this isn't a popular place then?
?
Jill: We have our regulars, but we're not like the bars in the main street.
?
Anna: Still, I like this place. It's comfy and... I don't know, it makes me feel safe.
?
Jill: Weird. I mean, I feel that way too, but this place usually gives off the opposite impression.
?
Jill:
Jill: Can't blame them though, this isn't exactly the best part of the city.
?
Anna:
Anna: That's a shame. I really like how isolated this place feels.
?
Anna:
Anna: You can't hear the sounds of the city in here. It's nice.
?
Anna: But then again, you could say I have some experience with isolated places. So, it might just be nostalgia.
?
Jill:
Jill: Nostalgia, huh...
?
Anna:
Anna: Speaking of coming in here...
?
Anna: Now that I think about it, you didn't ask for my ID when I first came in. Why didn't you do it if you were so suspicious?
?
Jill: Well... firstly, I was bored.
?
Anna:
Anna: Figures.
?
Jill: And second, I felt like you were of legal age.
?
Anna:
Anna: Um... how?
?
Jill: We've had a lot of kids come in thinking they could get away with ordering a drink, but they're too nervous or jumpy.
?
Jill: I don't usually give drinks to kids like that. They don't know what they're dealing with.
?
Anna: What if they're not like that but still underage?
?
Jill: If they at least look like they're above legal age, I would be able to live with myself I guess.
?
Jill: I won't give them anything if I know they're still kids. But hey, I'm bound to be fooled sometime.
?
Anna: So I'm guessing I wasn't... jumpy?
?
Jill:是的。
Jill: Yup.
?
Anna:
Anna: I see.
?
Anna: Hey Jo, now that you know I can drink legally, can I get another one?
?
Jill:
Jill: What do you want?
?
Anna:
Anna: Hm... give me something sweet.
?
Jill:
Jill: Sweet? Sure.
?
Jill:
Jill: One sweet drink.
?
Anna:
Anna: Thanks!
?
Anna: You know, if all drinks were like this, I'd be afraid of turning into an alcoholic.
?
Jill:
Jill: Please don't joke about that.
?
Anna: How can you say that? You're a bartender!
?
Jill: A bartender doesn't want her clients to become alcoholics.
?
Jill: Just like how personal trainers don't want their trainees to turn into steroid junkies.
?
Anna:
Anna: Oh, yeah. I guess you're right.
?
Anna:
Anna: Still, this one's really nice.
Jill:
Jill: Here you go.
?
Anna: *sniff* This doesn't smell like my dad's breath on Sunday morning.
?
Anna:
Anna: Did you give me something without alcohol?
?
Jill:
Jill: I did.
?
Anna: I'll let you know I'm old enough to use a bra, so don't you dare underestimate me!
?
Jill: That's... not relevant here.
?
Anna:……
Anna: ...maybe for you.
?
Jill:……?
Jill: ...?
Jill:請用。
Jill: Here.
?
Anna:……
Anna: ...
?
Anna: Jo, I think this drink went bad.
?
Jill:
Jill: No, it didn't.
?
Anna:
Anna: You sure? It tastes like butt.
?
Jill: I thought an adult like you would be able to stomach something like this.
?
Anna:
Anna: So you intentionally gave me the wrong drink? Why? To mess with me?
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...yup.
?
Anna:
Anna: You're mean!
Jill:
Jill: Here you go.
?
Anna:
Anna: Heheh... it feels funny on the tongue.
?
Anna:
Anna: It's the first time I've tasted something so ...bubbly.
?
Jill: You've never had a bubbly drink? Not even a can of soda?
?
Anna: I was a really fragile person up until recently. Things like bubbly drinks were out of the question.
?
Jill:哦……
Jill: Oh...
?
Anna: You got the order wrong, but I actually like it! Are there even bubblier drinks?
?
Jill:
Jill: I... don't think so.
?
Anna: It's fine. I'll get a soda later or something.
Jill:好了。請用。
Jill: Alright. Here.
?
Anna:
Anna: Hey, this is nice!
?
Jill:(誒?)
Jill: (Eh?)
?
Anna: Sure, it could be a little sweeter, but I'm not complaining.
?
Jill:(……
Jill: (...is she a bird or something? That should've been spicy.)
Anna: Do you normally do that, Jo? Give people the wrong orders?
?
Jill:
Jill: Sorry, I'm... a bit out of it.
?
Anna:
Anna: Don't worry. I won't complain. I'm in a good mood.
?
Anna:
Anna: Still, why mess up like that?
?
Jill:
Jill: Do you want me to get you another drink?
?
Anna:
Anna: Nah, leave it like that...
?
Anna:……
Anna: ...still, I can't help but wonder...
?
Jill: If I told you I like to mess with my clients just to get a rise out of them, would you call it a day?
?
Anna:
Anna: Yes, yes I would.
?
Jill:*
Jill: *sigh*
?
Anna: No sighing! I'm the one in the right here.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Anna:
Anna: And no sighing even harder because I said that.
?
Jill:(……
Jill: (...dammit.)
Anna: Hey Jo, do you drink?
?
Jill: I suppose, yeah. It'd be weird for a bartender not to drink, you know?
?
Anna: I don't know, I've met dentists with bad teeth. Bartenders who don't drink totally would make sense.
?
Jill: That's silly. It'd be like a vegan chef running a BBQ restaurant.
?
Anna:
Anna: You think?
?
Jill: Yeah, I mean... It's not a matter of whether you can eat or drink whatever it is that you're making.
?
Jill:
Jill: It's more like, "Why do it if you don't like it?"
?
Anna:
Anna: Huh... yeah, I guess that's true.
?
Anna: A dentist might have bad teeth, but he could still like working in dentistry. But why bother bartending if you don't like alcohol?
?
Jill:
Jill: See?
?
Anna:……
Anna: ...
?
?
Anna:
Anna: Hm...
?
Jill:
Jill: Something wrong?
?
Anna:
Anna: I just noticed you haven't said my name yet.
?
Jill:
Jill: I haven't... what?
?
Anna: Aside from when you read my ID out loud, you haven't said my name!
?
Anna: Meanwhile, I've called out yours like a gazillion times now.
?
Jill: (The wrong name, though.)
?
Jill:
Jill: Well... I haven't had the need to say your name.
?
Anna:
Anna: Come on, humor me. Say my name.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...why?
?
Anna: Say my name! Say. My. Name. Say my naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame!
?
Jill:*
Jill: *sigh*
?
Jill:Anna。
Jill: Anna.
?
Anna:
Anna: One more time.
?
Jill:Anna。
Jill: Anna.
?
Anna:
Anna: Yes! Now one more time!
?
Jill:……Nana。
Jill: ...Nana.
?
Jill:……
Jill: ...
?
Jill: (It happened again. Maybe I need glasses?)
?
Jill: (And there's that feeling again. Did I see someone glitch out in the past?)
