這場(chǎng)以“我眼中的新時(shí)代”為主題的首期中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)“新時(shí)代大講堂”在對(duì)外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)舉行。

The inaugural event of Vision China, a series of talks organized by China Daily, was held at the University of International Business and Economics on Monday evening.

世界知名學(xué)者、中國(guó)問(wèn)題研究專家羅伯特·勞倫斯·庫(kù)恩（Robert Lawrence Kuhn）、中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)海外版首席撰稿人安德魯·穆迪（Andrew Moody）和中國(guó)國(guó)際電視臺(tái)《視點(diǎn)》欄目主持人、記者劉欣作為演講嘉賓與現(xiàn)場(chǎng)500余位觀眾及海內(nèi)外網(wǎng)友分享了他們眼中的新時(shí)代。

中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)社總編輯周樹(shù)春在開(kāi)場(chǎng)致辭中是這樣說(shuō)的：

Today, we are launching Vision China, the New Era Lecture Theatre, in a move to embrace the New Era, pay tribute to the New Era, and reveal the full implications of the New Era.

The Lecture Theatre will focus on major issues facing China and the world, explore what China's story means for the world, and how Chinese wisdom could help the world.

大講堂將始終關(guān)注中國(guó)與世界發(fā)展的焦點(diǎn)問(wèn)題，探尋中國(guó)故事的世界意義，并把中國(guó)智慧、中國(guó)方案、中國(guó)經(jīng)驗(yàn)與世界分享。

The hardest part is to find facts. I ask myself all the time: Am I being fair? Nationalistic? Too ideological?

When I write a new book, there is something I want to learn about, and I use that vehicle to learn. So passion about learning is the common denominator.

作為一名國(guó)際新聞?dòng)浾撸阍谙蛲鈬?guó)受眾報(bào)道的過(guò)程中，可能要向外國(guó)受眾介紹一些基本概念，這比向中國(guó)受眾報(bào)道要難。你如何將中國(guó)呈現(xiàn)（present）給世界？

劉欣思忖片刻，她坦言，自己“不喜歡‘present’這個(gè)詞”。

Actually, I don't like the word "present", because that means you know what you are going to talk about and you put it in front of them, take it or leave it. We choose a topic which we think might be interesting, might be informative to them, and we discuss it. I 'm not worried about what it is going to look like, what is going to be the conclusion, let's have a genuine and high-quality discussion.

實(shí)際上，我并不喜歡present這個(gè)詞，因?yàn)檫@意味著你知道你要說(shuō)的內(nèi)容，你就將這些準(zhǔn)備好的內(nèi)容拿出來(lái)，任由對(duì)方取舍。而我們是選取有趣、有意義的話題，一起來(lái)討論。我并不擔(dān)心結(jié)果，也不擔(dān)心結(jié)論，而是希望有一場(chǎng)真正的，高質(zhì)量的討論。

她也同時(shí)提到，在報(bào)道過(guò)程中，需要為受眾提供“語(yǔ)境”，向受眾解釋基本概念是非常重要的。

劉欣強(qiáng)調(diào)，受眾思維很重要，她還引用了一句媒體金句：“Never leave your audiences scratching their heads. ”（不要讓你的受眾迷惑不解）。

I think they are already doing the right thing by being in China.

l think the fact that they come here, shows they believe in this place and they want to find out about it. What else can you ask?
