Mother left for school, leaving me in a state of anxious anticipation.?As the clock hands moved?towards evening, the waiting became an exercise in?patience.?In order to calm myself down,?I?picked up?a new book, immersing myself in the fictional world it presented.("書蟲"當然要要用書來使自己平靜下來啦)?When she finally returned, her face seemed like?a storybook filled with unread chapters.?She sat down beside me,?and told me everything about their?meeting.??Noticing?my?advanced?reading?capabilities,?Mrs.?Harrison?had?suggested?that?I?assist?her?in?the?school?library?during?lunch?breaks.("書蟲"最愛去的地方當然是圖!書!館!)
"I like that idea!" Firmly, I nodded a yes.?
The idea of spending time amongst?piles?of books, helping others discover the joy of reading, was appealing to me.?Harrison?believed?that?sharing?my?love?of?books?might?even?help?me?make?friends,?and?ease?my?transition?into?the?new?school.?A?mix?of?excitement?and?nervousness?swirled?within?me?at?the?prospect?of?this?new?challenge.?But?the?thought?of?using?my?skills?to?help?others?encouraged?me?to?assume?this "responsibility"?and embark on a journey that would blend my passion for reading with a new, fulfilling purpose. I was still a bookworm, but now, I would utilize?books?to?warm?others.
