I will share what I've gained and learned as an up in the past several months.

and I will walk you around my school.

since it's winter vacation right now. I think it's a good opportunity to have a visit to my campus. let's go started.

so first of all, I would say the biggest gain would definitely be the improvement in my English speaking. it was one of my intention of making this channels. because I wanted to keep a certain level of English speaking practice. I almost talked in English throughout all of my videos. except for the ones that only for teaching English speaking strategies. for example, pronunciation, intonation, how to link and connect words and so on and so forth. I also got some feedback from other people I did make some improvement in my speaking. which made me really happy. filming a video or talking to yourself is really different from instant communication with real people.

when you talk to some body in real conversations .you lack the time to compare different expressions and find out the most appropriate ones. and you don't have time to reflect on what you have said. and probably you could do better next time. but when you talk to yourself .

I feel grateful if my video helped you practice your speaking or listening. but at the same time making videos and posting English videos .the action itself is helping me to improve my English as well.

I didn't expect so many people on campus because it's during the winter vacation. it's the holiday season. people are supposed to gather together and enjoy family dinner or something. but they are in campus. I don't know why.

and some people ask me if I could give them my scripts. but I don't have any scripts except for some bullet points or the overall structure I'm gonna talk about in each video. I did written scripts for my video. because there were occasions that I felt inspired. and I just tried to write everything down. but it turned out, I never followed my script. I feel like I couldn't enjoy speaking that much if I restricted by some prepared script. because I would force myself to think about something that has already been written. and I lack the freedom to improvise. speaking requires improvisation. and improvisation is fun, indeed.

now I'm sitting front of the library, the oldest library.

the second biggest aspect would be the following I gained. my subscribers, followers, audience, whoever is watching this video and watched my previous videos. you know the feeling is unbelievable, once you know your voice is heard. I got this chance to share my 2cents or my perspectives on certain issues. although people have different opinions. some people can relate with my experience. and probably my suggestions or information I tried to convey could help somebody out potentially. that feeling is unbelievable amazing. even some followers would private message me. take me as a shudong. they will keep me updated of their life stories, of their emotions, their mental States, or anything they want to share. I really appreciate that. I really appreciate your trust. to be honest, is read every comment I read every private message. although I couldn't reply to all of them, I definitely would read them.so if you feel like you can gain some mental support from me, feel free to text me. it made me feel like my existence is doing good for some people who trust me. and an interesting story is, in the beginning, when my friends started to recognize me on social media, they would take a screen capture of my main page and sand that to me,initially I was really embarrassed whenever somebody did that. but anyways, I'm getting used to it. that's not a big problem.

so the building in front of my is really famous. many people take graduation photos here. and many visitors too. today is a sunny day, it's typical California weather. it raised a lot recently, but finally, the sun came out. I'm sitting in front of one of my favorite buildings on campus. is came here a lot to study. it's spacious, modern, it's close to almost every where. I'm going to talk about money in front of this fancy building. as an up I did earn some money in the past several months. because bilibili has content creation rewards. you definitely can get monetize just by uploading videos. by getting views and getting coins. but that is not too much.

and talking about advertising for brands. well I only did advertisements for one brand, one app in my videos. by collaborating with those brands and advertising for their products, you have to negotiate with the PR, you have to conform to their requirements, restrictions, expectations. it indeed costs time and effort. for me, currently I'm not a full-time up, I don't do this for a living. my priority is still my schoolwork. and my main jol is a student. most of the time, your support is really important. I feel like before advertising for a brand, you need to do the research. you have to make sure the brand you're advertising is trustworthy, is reliable. you have to be responsible for what you said in your videos, right?

with all those being said. I'm heading back to my apartment.
