囊泡谷氨酸轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)體(VGLUTs)包括3個(gè)成員,VGLUT1、VGLUT2和VGLUT3。囊泡谷氨酸轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)體(VGLUTs)的異常會(huì)導(dǎo)致興奮性神經(jīng)遞質(zhì)谷氨酸的異常,從而誘發(fā)多種神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)疾病。

囊泡型谷氨酸轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)蛋白1VGLUT1,又稱BNPI和SLc17a7,zui初被鑒定為腦特異性磷酸轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)蛋白。與相關(guān)的VGLUT-2一樣,VGLUT-1對(duì)谷氨酸的攝取和儲(chǔ)存既是必要的,也是充分的,因此構(gòu)成了谷氨酸能表型的決定因素。這兩種VGLUT都不同于血漿膜轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)蛋白,因?yàn)樗鼈兪怯煽缒遗菽さ馁|(zhì)子電化學(xué)梯度驅(qū)動(dòng)的。

VGLUT 1和VGLUT 2呈現(xiàn)互補(bǔ)表達(dá)模式??偠灾?,它們是目前谷氨酸能神經(jīng)末梢和谷氨酸能突觸的zui好標(biāo)記物。
