What's the biggest market opportunity you and your channel partners will tackle together in 2020?

The dramatic increase in the number of connected devices and the ability to embed more intelligence into everything is driving a relentless demand for computing horsepower. High performance computing is needed to analyze and ultimately make decisions on all the data being generated. This is true not only in large enterprises, but small and medium size businesses too. We see significant opportunities with our channel partners to deliver data center and commercial PC solutions that drive high-performance computing broadly in the industry ecosystem.

What are the biggest technology investments you are making in 2020?

Our product roadmap requires that we make big technology bets 3-5 years in advance of products coming to market. Our focus at AMD is in on pushing the technology envelope in high-performance CPUs and high-performance GPUs. We are extremely excited about 2020 as we focus on bringing new, high-performance solutions to the PC, gaming and datacenter markets. We have made significant investments in our Zen-based CPU roadmap, our brand new RDNA graphics architecture, and the most advanced 7nm manufacturing solutions which result in industry-leading performance, power and total cost of ownership.

What do you see as the biggest challenges facing customers in 2020?

The tech industry is very dynamic. CIOs and product decision makers need to choose the best technology as the demands for computing increase in a resource-constrained environment. With our EPYC datacenter solutions, Ryzen PC offerings, and our new Radeon GPUs -- we are offering customers an ambitious multi-generational roadmap to address these requirements. AMD has built a strong track record for execution and enabling customer success through deep partnerships, and we are enthusiastic about the opportunities in 2020.
