As a non-confit educational institution, Confucius Institute is dedicated to meeting the need of Chinese learning in various countries or regions. One of the most important tasks is to provide standardized Chinese textbooks for Chinese learners all over the world. Confucius institutes in various regions have increased the understanding of Chinese language and culture by making full use of their advantages and carrying out colorful teaching and cultural activities. To date, China has established 550 Confucius Institutes and 1,172 Confucius classrooms in 162 countries. Since the establishment, Confucius Institutes have played an important role in promoting the development of international Chinese education.
