I was on a game drive in the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve when I saw something in the distance – two big birds clashing in mid-air. The birds fell to the ground but I couldn’t see what had happened because the bush was too dense and the grass so high. My guide headed in the direction of the birds and a couple of minutes later we saw something on the road. We moved closer and could see a dead spotted eagle owl on the ground and a yellow billed kite feasting on it. The kite was so busy with the kill that we were able to get close to the scene and capture some pictures of the aftermath of a fight between these two large birds of prey.

喜歡我1公斤左右的黃嘴鳶空戰(zhàn)爆頭斑雕鸮嗎？有一定殺傷力和空戰(zhàn)能力的鷹隼即便體型體重有劣勢(shì)一樣有機(jī)會(huì)弄死雕鸮屬成員。而換成其他差不多的1公斤左右的鸮形目猛禽對(duì)上雕鸮屬成員則是毫無(wú)還手之力，畢竟是空戰(zhàn)廢物，加之體型硬件均不如且無(wú)法施展夜晚主場(chǎng)加持必定無(wú)敵神論。
