The I/O processing module manages the I/O bus and expansion rack of the H41X basic rack. The I/O bus is used between the I/O module and

I/O processing module. The task of this module includes exchanging data modules with the processor and providing watchdog signal bus B to the output module through system bus A and the system.

4.10 F-COM 01 Communication Module

The communication module is equipped with 2 Ethernet interfaces and 1 fieldbus interface to allow communication between the HIQuad X system and external systems. The module has been approved for use in safety related HIQuad X systems and can be used for transportation safety related protocols.
