Seeing a major movie or TV star on a picket line would certainly help draw attention to the three-week-old strike by Hollywood actors and writers. But some of the industry's biggest names have opted to help in a different way: cold cash.

In this strike action, I am lucky to be able to support those who will struggle in a long action to sustain against Goliath," she said in a statement. "We will stand strong together against these powerful corporations who are bent on taking the humanity, the human dignity, even the human out of our profession.?
