My Experience in Seventh Grade English Class

If I were to describe my experience in seventh grade English class in one word, it would be "exciting". Throughout the year, I had opportunities to learn new vocabulary, improve my writing, and work on my public speaking skills.

Vocabulary Acquisition

One of the highlights of the English class was the weekly vocabulary quizzes. These quizzes helped me to learn countless new words and their meanings. Apart from that, we also had regular reading assignments, where we had to read articles or books and write paragraphs summarizing them. This helped me to practice using new vocabulary in my writing.

Writing Improvement

Another important aspect of the English class was the focus on writing. We had several writing assignments throughout the year, where we had to write descriptive essays, persuasive essays, and even fictional stories. The teacher provided detailed feedback and suggestions for improvement, which helped me to develop my writing skills.

Public Speaking Practice

In order to become confident public speakers, we had several opportunities to give presentations in front of our classmates. While it was initially nerve-racking, it became easier with practice. By the end of the year, I had developed more confidence and could give presentations without feeling nervous.
