Chapter 5: Meteorites

Charles quickly looked up. Meteorites! He quickly rushed back and told Scott about it. Then they began thinking what to do. About half an hour later, there came some news:?some meteorites had already destroyed a city nearby!?

And the citizens here panicked.?Worried voices, rolling noise and the sound of meteorites descending could be heard all around Spheria! The king ordered the guards to fight back by using the huge cannon, but in vain.

Scott was wondering. What?if they failed??

He was trembling when a good idea struck Charles. Charles said: "How?about the ball-switcher?"

Hearing that, Scott was shocked by a wave of excitement, "Why not give it a try?"

Then Charles set the ball-switcher so that it can turn a ball into an iceball, and Scott secretly replaced the next cannon ball with it. Now what they need to do is to wait until the next cannon ball is?launched.

Shortly afterwards, the ball-switcher was launched, which?flew like a bullet. And a miraculous thing happened: The meteorites were turned into a huge piece of ice! It melted immediately, and the liquid transformed into steam.
