CNN在報道近日法國暴亂的新聞里有這樣一句話：Activists believe Nahel’s race?was a factor in his killing, unraveling deep-rooted tensions?over police discrimination against minoritized communities in France.

unravel近似于elucidate, explain，闡釋的意思，to explain sth that is difficult to understand or is mysterious; to become clearer or easier to understand 闡釋；說明；澄清；變得清楚易懂。如：The discovery will help scientists unravel the mystery of the Ice Age. 這一發(fā)現(xiàn)將有助于科學家揭開冰川時代的奧秘。

Deep-rooted也可以用deep-seated

可以表示愿望很強烈a deep-rooted desire

可以說某個問題根深蒂固：The country's political divisions are deep-seated. 這個國家的政治分歧根深蒂固。

還可以表達對某個問題的深切關(guān)注：deep-rooted concern about sth.

再看這個句式。unraveling做狀語，Nahel的種族是他被殺害的一個因素，揭示了法國警察對少數(shù)群體的歧視問題所引發(fā)的根深蒂固的緊張局勢。

我們可以從中提煉出這個句式：

A is a factor in B, unraveling C.

其中A是B的原因，C是A和B導致的現(xiàn)象表象。

我們隨便抓幾個話題，用這個句式組句：
