We take the sufficient food supply for granted , but there are many people in the world still suffer from hunger. Why then do famine and other related food crisis still appear? Possible reasons and solutions will be discussed in this essay.

In terms of the reasons , one basic question is that ,the late 20th century has witnessed an exploding population growth ,hence resulting in whether the pollution growth has outpaced the food production and whether the yield of crops is no longer sufficient to support the human beings especially in some arid areas where the situation is even more bleak. Though we all bear hopes that every night, all humans could could go to bed with their stomach nourished , the fact is to some extent ironic. Another reason is that food ,nowadays ,is treated as a commodity ,which means that ,those who can afford would never worry about going hungry ,however ,others who cant afford would be likely to end up a devastating dilemma .Some places in the world ,on the one hand , do not have fertile land to grow food , on the other hand, nor do they have flush assets to purchase . Visualize a picture ,a group of people appear in TV, skinny with bright while staving eyes . This is the situation we need to address.

Some solutions are relevant to a discussion over the topic of hunger. The most basic one is that to attack the root of the cause .That is ,to eradicate poverty in a global scale. We are not calling for regional or domestical effort , but the international action. Another key way is to build a reasonable global food system to guarantee the sustainability as well as security of the food distribution and price. Specifically ,this aims to encompass different nations and numerous people to bridge the gap in the unbalanced food supply. Besides, a different approach could be implemented by every individual .A campaign about curbing waste could be implemented in every corner of the world .Only by realizing that some people still could not feed themselves , shall we unite together to work on it .This view is that every one of us could share the knowledge and slogan about “save food ,save others”
